Taylor Lautner could probably afford a house the size of your apartment building and an army of servants but, despite his fame and fortune, he still lives with his parents and younger sister in Valencia, California, a suburb forty-five minutes north of Hollywood, in a regular house, doing regular chores just like you and me.
“The thing I love is that my home life hasn't changed,” he says in an interview with GQ magazine. “I still help out with the garbage. I still help out with the lawn.”
Taylor likes living with his family and, although he’s 18, rich and world-famous, he hasn’t considered moving out just yet. “There's really no point,” he tells the mag. “I'm so busy. I really haven't thought about it.”
Another reason why he likes living in a small town is the fact that he’s not hunted by photographers. Well, at least not as much as usual. However, just like he said at the Twilight: Eclipse press conference, the lack of privacy is part of the job and to him there are a lot more advantages that outweigh the downsides of being a star of such stature.
“There's some things you just have to live with,” he says. “Like twelve cars camping outside your house, and when you wake up in the morning, they're going to follow you wherever you go. It helps that I live in Valencia. It eliminates some. But they're still here.” (Photo courtesy of GQ magazine)
