Tom Cruise Avoids Joshua Jackson at National Movie Awards 2010

Let me just say first that we love love love Josh Jackson. Phew. Now that we’ve let that out, you’re probably wondering what Tom Cruise and our dearest Josh have in common. Why, Katie Holmes, of course. And apparently Tom’s team had to take some major pains for the two not to meet at last night’s National Movie Awards.
Josh and Katie worked together on “Dawson’s Creek” and he was allegedly her first love – she even said once that she would “treasure [their romance] always.” So you understand why a guy would feel a bit uncomfortable around his gal’s first love. But seriously… this happened 100 years ago. Cruise and Holmes have been married five years. As for Josh, he’s been dating actress Diane Krueger for years too so I doubt there’s really any reason for Tom to get all irrational.
“There isn’t much love lost between Tom and Josh. When [Tom’s] people found out he was on the same red carpet there suddenly came a number of extra stipulations. The security team have been having a nightmare trying to accommodate him on top of all the other A-list guests at the bash. But this is Tom Cruise – he can ask for what he wants,” a source tells UK’s Mirror.
You gotta love the inner workings of a celebrity event. And to think they’re all actors and actresses, which means that by definition they can mimic any human emotion for the camera. Thus you’d expect they’d have no problem at least tolerating each other for a few hours. (Photo via Babble)
