Glee star Chris Colfer has signed a deal with publishers Little, Brown Books for Young Readers to release two children’s books. The first book, The Land of Stories, out in 2012, follows twins Alex and Connor Bailey in an adventure that blends the modern world with fairytales. The second book is yet to be given a title and a release date.
“When I was 10 years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance,” Colfer said in a statement. “This book has been at the core of my imagination for a long time and I’m excited and nervous to share it.”
Aside from his two-book deal the actor is also set to pen a Disney Channel pilot, The Little Leftover Witch, for a project based on Florence Laughlin’s children’s book, which follows the adventures of a little witch who is taken in by a new family after her broom breaks and she falls from the sky. He’s also working on the script for Struck by Lightning, and independent film he would also star in. (Photo via Sugar Slam)
