Robert Pattinson: 'Twilight' Cast Was Happy to Be Done Filming Vampire Saga

b_0_75_16777215_00_images_robert-pattinson-1.jpgAlthough Twihards may not feel so happy that their favorite vampire story is coming to a close, the Twilight cast, who’ve spent the most part of the past few years on the set of the vampire franchise, are actually happy and relieved that it’s all over, especially since the two Breaking Dawn films were shot back to back.

“It was a very long shoot,” Robert Pattinson said of the final scenes he shot for Breaking Dawn, the last chapter in The Twilight Saga. “We were working over eight months, and it was hard, so by the end of it, I think everybody was like ‘Ah, get me out!' We're all finished, it's all done. It was kind of anti-climactic. I finished on a night shoot, flew straight here and did the premiere yesterday for a very different movie.”

The “very different movie” he refers to is Water for Elephants, where he plays a character that’s nearly the opposite of the brooding Edward Cullen, namely an orphaned veterinary student who quits his studies and joins a travelling circus as their vet. For this new role Rob not only ditched the pesky red contacts and sparkly makeup but he was actually covered in dirt nearly all the time and he got tanned if you can believe it.  (Photo via Us Critics)
