Hilary Duff – Singer, Actress and Now Writer

Joining the growing list of celebrities in pursuit of a writing career Hilary Duff has signed a book deal with Simon & Schuster publishing house.

OK! Magazine reports that Simon & Schuster confirmed the news yesterday and, according to E! News the “Gossip Girl” actress will write young adult novels. The first book, which will have as protagonist a photojournalist named Clea Raymond, and will be on the shelves on October 12.

However, Hilary already has plans for her next project, a nonfiction book aimed at children who have to deal with a divorce, which will be released in 2012.
